Open Public Design - Crowdsourcing meets Sustainability

How to recycle leftovers, scrap and waste materials for public design purposes in an appealing, unconventionally new way? We will try to answer this question by conducting a creative in-house workshop on February 10th, 2012. Together with participants we want to co-create and jointly develop new design concepts and sustainable objects, which have the potential to significantly enrich public spaces through their extraordinary appearance. The workshop will be based on the results of the ScrapLab Design Contest in 2011 – a crowdsourcing contest that asked designers and everyone interested to submit innovative and sustainable designs made of scrap materials.
