TOO GOOD TO WASTE

People around the world produce a huge amount of waste. Looking at it in a positive way this can actually be brilliant because new objects of marvellous design can be produced from it. Design objects which can be put to use and enjoyed by the same people. It is very exciting to see how used, broken, out-of-date or organic material can be turned around and transformed into great and valuable new design pieces - produced with skill, talent and handicraft. The event TOO GOOD TO WASTE is a completely new encounter and promises a very productive and exciting cooperation between the partner regions of Western Cape/ South Africa and Bavaria/ Germany. South African and German designers demonstrate how allegedly worthless waste can be turned into interesting, functional and valuable objects – this is called Upcycling-Design. Using creativity and craftsmanship TOO GOOD TO WASTE creates a bond between environment, economy and society. This is an entirely new way of interpreting the idea of sustainability.

Thanks to creativity, talent and craftsmanship, new and functionally
designed objects areernerging from recycled materlals- we call thls Upcycling Design. On
the occasion of the TOO GOOD TO WASTE exhibition, World of Eve has the pleasure of
inviting you to meet South African and Bavarian Upcycling designers and to mingle with
international visitors at the Munich Creative Business Week.
