The University of Television and Film in Munich (HFF München) was founded in 1966 and started its teaching program in 1967 – hence the 50th anniversary celebration in 2017. Since 2011, HFF has its new home inmidst the Munich art district at Bernd-Eichinger-Platz. The new building harbors all programs under one roof: Feature and Television Film, Production & Media Business, Cinematography and Scriptwriting. Famous HFF graduates are Maren Ade, Caroline Link, Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck and Wim Wenders.
During the MCBW 2019, HFF München is hosting the Forum/Festival Center for the first time, showing films with MCBW-relevant topics throughout the entire design week. Naturally, that includes selected short documentaries, features and spots by HFF students and alumni.
