Green and open spaces are important for the quality of life and good coexistence in the city. In the future, these spaces must be better used, more strongly networked and rethought.
Munich's green and open spaces are genuine multi-talents: They are the places where people meet, engage in outdoor activities and shape the image of our city. As green infrastructure, they are important for a healthy urban climate. They serve as habitats for animals and plants and as places for horticulture and agriculture. In the increasingly densifying city, it is important to reconcile the different functions of green and open spaces as well as the various interests for use. To this end, various departments of the city are jointly developing the "Guideline Open Space" as part of the Perspective Munich.
