A film about our changing urban environment and four women architects who are working, observing, and thinking about the transformations that are shaping the city of today and tomorrow.
After WWII, few women have access to the very masculine profession of architect. Many European centres have been destroyed, while cities in Europe and America are struggling to cope with their burgeoning populations and automobile traffic. The city needs to be rethought. Dreaming of a more human urban environment, four trailblazing women break into this boys’ club and begin creating the city of tomorrow. Their story is that of women in modern society and of a world that is becoming more open and inclusive.
