How does disruption affect us? Leyla Acaroglu will deliver her keynote on Disruptive Design at this year's talk&connect. Also on board: Sep Verboom and Sascha Frieseke.
As a special mcbw highlight, the mcbw talk&connect2023 will take place on 8 May 2023 at the Munich Urban Colab. In cooperation with internationally acclaimed speakers, the mcbw talk format will search for answers to the question of how disruption can spark creativity. What happens after a disruption, how do we as humans deal with radical changes, how does something new emerge from the past and current shifts in our society – and what is the role does of design in this context?
KEYNOTES, PANELS AND DISRUPTION DEEP DIVE
The afternoon and evening will be dedicated to statements from the mcbw advisory board on the annual theme, followed by two keynotes held by Sep Verboom and Sascha Friesike, before Leyla Acaroglu, this year's Creative Explorer, will illustrate how design is propelling social, economic and sustainable change for the better. A further deep dive into the annual motto will then ensue in a panel discussion featuring the three keynote speakers and moderator Annette Diefenthaler, Professor of Design and Transdisciplinarity at TUM. The evening will close with drinks and snacks, where all participants can mingle and network with the mcbw staff, all of the speakers and other guests.
The keynotes and the panel will be held in English. Simultaneous translation English - German, German - English available.
