Andrew Bolton, curator of the New York Metropolitan Museum of Art, wonders if fashion is to be considered art. He therefore documents his work on a new exhibition for eight months.
The film shows the preparations for the exhibition “China: Through the Looking Glass“, for which Bolton cooperates with the Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour, as well as for the glamorous gala of the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Every year, the “Met Gala“ is a gigantic fashion extravaganza – like the Grand Slam of the industry, and very hard work. The documentary introduces us to a world we usually don’t have access to. Special appearances by Karl Lagerfeld, Jean-Paul Gaultier and other fashion icons.
