Engage in dialogue with personalized AI agents – and question your own expectations of artificial intelligence in this poetic experimental setup
Attention! A ticket is required to enter the Science Communication Lab. 10 free tickets are available per day. Please request your free ticket at least one day in advance by emailing wkd@fraunhofer.de (Subject: Ticket / First Name Last Name) for access to the installations.
»Techno-Anima« opens an experimental dialogue between human visitors and an ensemble of individualized AI agents. The visitors interact multimodally with a multi-agent system based on large language models (LLMs). The installation analyzes inputs in real time, dynamically adapts responses, and reacts to the audience's interactions.
Upon entering the installation, visitors encounter these agents, each with its own personality, knowledge resources, and functions. The interaction unfolds as an open process: some agents provide support, while others challenge, question statements, or offer unexpected perspectives. Since the encounters do not follow a fixed script but emerge through the reciprocal influence between humans and machines, moments of surprise, reflection, or alienation may arise when the machine seems to take on human traits or provokes unusual trains of thought.
The installation thus becomes a poetic experiment in which our understanding of human-machine interaction is constantly recalibrated.
