How do you feel when you talk or think about artificial intelligence? Do future technological developments worry you, or are you excited about the new possibilities AI offers? With the project »Human AI«, we enable a direct, interactive engagement with AI, encouraging you to explore your thoughts, opinions, and emotions through dialogue.
As part of the »Designer in Lab« funding program by the Fraunhofer Network for Science, Art, and Design, digital designers Jan Scheffel and Felicitas Ferch collaborated with the Human-Centered Innovations Group at the Fraunhofer Institute for Integrated Circuits, IIS to create an interactive installation that makes emotions visible in conversation with AI.
Here's how it works: When you lift a stone from the installation, your dialogue with the AI begins. The AI analyzes the conversation in real time and digitally visualizes it.
The project aims to deepen understanding of society's acceptance of AI. The installation highlights AI’s limitations and invites you to see it for what it truly is: a tool shaped by human interaction.
