The creative industry is about to undergo fundamental changes. Large language models take only seconds to recognise patterns in qualitative data and structure them into polished insights. AI image generators only need a few attempts to produce illustrations that would have taken a designer a day or two. So while these are amazing tools that we like to explore and push to their limits, AI definitely poses a challenge to creativity for profit.

At Daylight we believe in seeing the upsides of AI and in using its potential to get even better at what we do. But these new tools also force us to scrutinize our process and reassess the importance of "the human" in human-centred design. We must find new ways to ensure the focus remains firmly on the human experience.
