Too Soon To Say - The Unconference

Organised by Various Others, "Too Soon To Say - The Unconference", at the Hotel Bayerischer Hof, is a marathon of music, performances, talks, lectures, a film program, and site-specific interventions.

The eighth edition of Various Others, the contemporary art festival of Munich, is taking place from May 8th until May 18th, 2025. The vibrant program of its participants will be accompanied by a VO Special: "Too Soon To Say – The Unconference" is a marathon of conferences, music, performances, talks, lectures, a film program, and site-specific interventions. During the opening weekend (May 8–11, 2025), Hotel Bayerischer Hof will become the venue for this "Unconference," transforming the hotel into a place of encounter, exchange, and experience.

The Bayerischer Hof opens itself to contemporary art, and VO creates an atmosphere of the conceivable and possible in the hotel's historic spaces. "Too soon to say – The Unconference" is a "glitch" in the everyday order of things. Visitors are invited to move through this fleeting intermediate world through the strange, challenging, speculative, cathartic, and historical – and to understand the world as changeable. How can art tackle the future not only critically but as a desirable state? Can impulses for the present be derived from these ideas? It is "too soon to say" whether what is said and experienced these days will become memory, dream, fantasy, or reality. However, what is certain is that art remains a foundation of our solidarity-based and future-oriented coexistence.
