Games and dialogue in the Hempcrete Pavilion. An interactive afternoon examining regional resources, renewable materials, and new building cultures, followed by drinks in the Kunstareal.
As part of Munich Creative Business Week, the Chair of Architecture and Design at the Technical University of Munich invites you to an interactive exchange in the Hempcrete Pavilion in the Kunstareal.
A carpet made from hemp yarn by students maps out potential hemp cultivation areas in southern Germany, while the bioregional game WEAVE provides a framework for debate about regional materials, value chains, and regenerative design strategies.
Experts from the fields of architecture, materials research, and practice will come together for an open “Carpet Discussion.” Enclosed by the hempcrete “Wall of Translation”, the carpet becomes a space for debate, while the game WEAVE offers a playful approach for participants to explore bioregional networks, resources, and relationships.
Mapping and play throw open different perspectives on the same question: How can more building materials be produced from regional resources in the future? What networks are needed to create a new identity for hemp in Germany? And how can knowledge about sustainable materials be researched collaboratively?
Afterwards, an afternoon aperitif offers an opportunity for informal exchange and further networking.
