"ROBOTIC WORLDS"—Guided Tour

At the dawn of the Age of Robots, Die Neue Sammlung dedicates an exhibition to these relatively new contemporaries of humankind.

Robots have shaped our ideas about future and parallel worlds for more than 100 years, and in the last few years they have become an integral part of everyday life. Experts suggest that the areas where they can be deployed will expand rapidly over the coming years.


At this historic turning point, the exhibition takes a look at what humans imagine robots to be as well as their real form and function. Exhibits include outstanding examples of robots, but also robot toy figures from around 1970 to the present day: They capture the human fantasies and utopian worlds associated with robots, as well as the various shapes and designs of actual functional robots.

Limited number of places available.
You need an admission ticket for the PDM and a (free) participation ticket for the tour. Both can be purchased at the museum ticket office and, from April, online via the Webshop of the Pinakothek der Moderne.
