Following the success of last year’s first edition, the 2nd Munich Film Summit will take place on May 7, 2026, at the HFF Munich as part of DOK.fest München.

The 2nd Munich Film Summit will take place on Thursday, May 7, 2026, at 9:30 a.m. as part of DOK.fest München at the HFF Munich. Filmstadt München e.V., DOK.fest Munich, and Filmfest München are once again jointly inviting you to actively shape the future of film culture in Munich. Under the title Outside the Box: New (Thought) Spaces for Film Culture, we will bring together various players from the local film and cinema scene for a discussion, promote open exchange, and jointly develop positive approaches, fresh ideas, and inspiration for a rich and vibrant film culture in Munich. The 2nd Munich Filmgipfel will be opened by Cultural Affairs Officer Marek Wiechers. Following the event, there will be an opportunity for networking at a reception.
