A MATTER OF FORM – from Bauhaus impulse to design lab

Porcelain design yesterday, today and tomorrow will be the center of the exhibition titled "REINE FORMSACHE – Vom Bauhaus-Impuls aus Weimar/Dornburg zur Burg Giebichenstein in Halle, 1915 bis heute".

Presented until October 6, 2019, the multi-faceted exhibition is a showcase of porcelain designed by selected teachers and graduates and of students’ work spanning 100 years of vessel design at Burg Giebichenstein Kunsthochschule Halle. The exhibition will be divided into Chronik and DesignLab, two segments that connect origins and destinations, impulses, outcomes and impact into one rich image. The display is about porcelain design between tradition and modernism, crafts and industry, digital and analog, experiment and form, contemporary and timeless language of form with a cultural anchor.
