Prof. Ben Santo is dean of the Department of Design at the Munich University of Applied Sciences, Munich’s largest centre of design research and teaching. His professorship focuses on design basics and project-based applications. His main interest lies with the role of the designer within creation & innovation processes. Ben Santo also works as a designer and advisor for cultural & economic projects.
The Department of Design is located in the historic Zeughaus building of Munich’s Kreativquartier. The department is not only part of the university but also a space for exhibitions, talks and discussions and a platform for an open debate between culture, economy and science.
