Christian Scharpf
Christian Scharpf, born in 1971, is married and has four children. After training as a banker at HypoVereinsbank, he studied law in Augsburg and Munich and obtained a doctorate in municipal corporate law. From 2004 to 2020, he worked for the City of Munich - first in the legal department of the directorate, then for almost three years as a personal assistant to Lord Mayor Christian Ude. From 2012, Dr Christian Scharpf was a senior civil servant in the Directorate as City Director.
In 2020, he was elected Lord Mayor of the City of Ingolstadt. After five years in office as Lord Mayor, he returned to the state capital of Munich and has been Head of Labour and Economic Affairs since 1 March 2025.
