Claudia Herling
Claudia Herling is a designer and researcher at the interface of gender, digital systems and design. At the Lab for Socioinformatics at Heilbronn University of Applied Sciences, she works as a research assistant in projects on AI development, participation, real-world laboratory research and gender in computer science.
A central concern of her work is to anchor gender as a decisive design factor in the development process. The goal is a design that is fair, inclusive and participation-oriented. Claudia Herling is a founding member and chair of the International Gender Design Network (iGDN), which promotes gender-sensitive design worldwide. The iGDN organizes exhibitions, publications and the iphiGenia Gender Design Award.
