Daniel Heiss
(*born 1978, Munich) is a computer scientist and media artist working as a software developer at the Center for Art and Media (ZKM). His focus is on evaluating "emerging technologies" and their potential applications in social contexts. Through early adaptations of current developments, he has created installations for museums such as the ZKM and the Deutsches Museum and contributed to exhibitions like Open Codes (2017–2019, ZKM). Since 2017, he has overseen the ZKM’s NFT collection and, as part of the Cryptoart Playground project, exhibited the first NFT-certified works at the museum as early as 2018.
