Dorothea Rader

Born in Munich in 1996, she has been enrolled at the Munich University of Applied Sciences since 2014, first for her Bachelor's degree, which she will graduate in 2018, and then for her Master's degree. One year before her master's thesis, she is participating in the studio "DesignBuild Mexico". While she has been working for Thomas Hammer Architects, Munich, since 2018, she will write her thesis in the winter semester 2019/ 2020, which deals with the recycling of building materials from decommissioned nuclear power plants and future-oriented construction. The reinterpretation of vernacular architecture in combination with sustainable building processes and the examination of topics such as global warming, urban exodus and re/upcycling are guidelines for the design.
