Egbert Rühl
Egbert Rühl has been Managing Director of Hamburg Kreativ Gesellschaft mbH since 2010 and is responsible for promoting the creative industries in Hamburg, from start-ups to self-employed and established companies. With a steadily growing team of around 60 employees, numerous funding projects have been realized under his leadership. These include the EU-funded (ERDF) Cross Innovation Hub and the development of three incubator programs for different submarkets of the creative industries. In 2024, it launched the first German Creative Economy Summit with the aim of driving the overall economy forward and promoting the future through innovation. As a platform for the creative industries, the GCES will once again take place in Hamburg in 2026.
