Eileen Mandir

Prof. Dr. Eileen Mandir is a research designer with a focus on design futuring and transformation design. Mandir studied cybernetics and completed her doctorate on behavioral change in the context of people and mobility. Today, she researches the role of design in social transformation processes and accompanies public stakeholder and future dialogs. Mandir is co-author of the book “Zukünfte gestalten” about the emerging field of design futuring. Since 2022, she has been Professor of Systemic Design in the Context of Social Change and Transformative Processes at the Faculty of Design at Munich University of Applied Sciences and heads the BMBF research project WiPa (Effective Participation for Mobility Innovations).
