Florian A. Schmidt

Dr Florian A. Schmidt is Professor of Design Concept and Media Theory at the Faculty of Design at HTW Dresden. He has been researching the functionality, structure and history of digital platforms in design since 2006. His current focus is on text-2-img-tools, the new image economies arising from these tools, and the associated questions at the level of aesthetics, the production of training data and, in particular, the changing working conditions for designers. Schmidt is co-inventor of the Prompt Battles https://promptbattle.com (2022-24) and was editor-in-chief of AGD's ‘agenda design’ (2015-17).
