Florian Adler studied Visual Communication at University of the Arts in Berlin.
In 1989 he founded the studio for corporate and information design adlerschmidt, which, among other things, has been responsible for the federal government's corporate design since 2014. Since 2002 he is a Lecturer for Communication Design at HTW Berlin, University of Applied Sciences, in 2009 he was appointed as an Honorary Professor of Corporate and Information Design at HTW Berlin.
Florian has been a member of the board of Forum für Entwerfen, of International Design Centre and of the Committee of Typefaces at DIN, the German Institute for Standardization. From 2015 until 2017 he led the research and development project on inclusive communication design for the German Federation of the Blind.
