Frank Wagner
After studying graphic design at the Freie Kunstschule Stuttgart, Frank Wagner first gained professional experience as an art director at h,t,p design in Munich and Scholz & Friends in Hamburg. In 1995 he founded the design agency häfelinger + wagner design. The company was renamed hw.design GmbH, which developed into a top ten agency for corporate experiences in branding, communication and reporting. Under Wagner's leadership, hw.design received over 500 international awards. In 2015, Wagner published the book ‘The Value of Design. The impact and value of design in the 21st century’. In this work, he argues in favour of an expanded understanding of design that goes beyond aesthetic aspects and includes ecological and social factors.
