Fritz Frenkler

fritz frenkler is an industrial designer and co-founder of f/p design with studios in germany and japan. he has worked with notable figures such as steve jobs and dieter rams, as well as prominent companies like aeg, sony, samsung, toyota, bmw, and others. in 2006, fritz was appointed full professor of the chair of industrial design at the technical university of munich (tum), and in 2020, he was awarded the title of tum emeritus of excellence in the senior excellence faculty. he has also been the chairperson of the if design award jury for many years. since 1995, he has been a member of the board of if industrie forum design e.v. and, since 2018, a member of the board of if design foundation. in 2021, fritz became a director of the architecture section of the academy of arts in berlin.
