Furkan Demirci

Furkan played a key role in the founding of the Türkiye Design Council (known locally as Türkiye Tasarım Vakfı), and has been the Chairperson of its Board since December 2023. Through his work there, he is engaged in the conceptualization and execution of urban planning, design, competition, and community projects aimed at fostering better and more liveable cities, including the international collaborative effort to revitalise the Hatay region of southeast Türkiye. In addition to this role, Furkan serves as Board Member of the Bureau of European Design Associations (BEDA). He is a graduate of the Department of Architecture at Istanbul Technical University (ITU).
