Helga Schmid
Helga Schmid is a designer, artist, and researcher specializing in time research. She is a Visiting Fellow at the University of the Arts London, a professor of design theory and research at the University of Applied Sciences in Potsdam, and a resident at Somerset House in London. In 2018, she was a Designer in Residence at the Design Museum in London. Her work has been exhibited globally at institutions such as the Serpentine Gallery, the Design Museum, the Dia Art Foundation in New York, Z33 in Hasselt, and the V&A Museum. She has received numerous international awards, including the Art and Type Directors Award, as well as a Fulbright and two DAAD scholarships. In 2020, she published Uchronia: Designing Time, a book exploring alternative concepts of time through design.
