Katrin Laville

Katrin Laville is an expert in social design and design for social innovation. She initiates and accompanies co-creative urban development projects in the context of social change and transformative processes. Her aim is to use design to create innovative spaces for socio-cultural transformation. As a science manager at the Design Cultures Institute for Applied Design Research (dci) at Munich University of Applied Sciences, she works at the interface of design, research and transfer. She develops and realizes concepts and design strategies as impulses for social change. She is also active as a social entrepreneur and product designer: under the label dekdek.de, she designs sustainable, multifunctional play furniture for children.
