Lola Behrens

Lola Behrens is an industrial designer from Hamburg with a focus on social responsibility and circular thinking. She studied product design at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar and the Elisava Barcelona School of Design and Engineering.
Her bachelor thesis ‘Inclusive product design in the context of demographic change’ and her care shower chair LAVA were exhibited at the Dutch Design Week in 2024 and honoured with the Hessischer Staatspreis für Universelles Design and the University Prize of the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar. She works as a freelancer for Studio Hanne Willmann, World Design Capital Frankfurt 2026 and the Bundespreis Ecodesign. With a human-centred design approach, she focuses on the needs of users and is a volunteer in the VDIDlab.
