Nicola Borgmann is an architect, curator and art historian based in Munich operating nationally and internationally. As director of the Architekturgalerie she organizes and designs exhibitions, projects and events worldwide on current themes in architecture, city, design and art. She complements her practical work with editorial and scientific work, publications and lectures at international universities and conferences. Since 2017, she has been implementing design build projects in teaching and practice in Ethiopia. She has been a member of the German Academy for Urban and Regional Planning since 2008 and an honorary member of the Association of German Architects since 2019. In 2011 she was awarded the Bavarian Architecture Prize, in 2018 the Architecture Prize of the City of Munich.
