Päivi Tahkokallio

Päivi Tahkokallio is Founder and CEO of Tahkokallio Design+. Track record in strategic and social design, Päivi has been called the mother of Arctic Design, a design approach supporting sustainable development of the Arctic. As former President of BEDA, The Bureau of European Design Associations with more than 50 members in close to 30 countries, she was leading design policy work in Europe, with climate change mitigation, digitalisation and values as key topics.

Päivi has acted as jury member at many international design competitions, with Compasso d’Oro,
DesigEuropa Awards, German Design Award, Taiwan International Student Design Awards, and The One Show among them.

Päivi is Fellow of Royal Society of Arts (FRSA), and Committee Member of Arctic Society of Finland.
