Philipp Cartier

Philipp Cartier is a designer and co-founder of Gestaltungszentrale Politik. He has been working at the interface between design and politics for over 5 years. What exactly does politics mean when it talks about designing?
To clarify this question, he has accompanied several parliamentarians in the Bundestag and at state level in their work. The result: politics likes to decide, design prefers to create. This gave rise to the idea of supporting politicians in their design processes. The work of the design center goes in different directions, from accompanying programs for members of parliament to political education. He is also working on his doctorate on the design methodology of politics and works as a research assistant at the HfBK Hamburg.
