Roya Haupt

Roya Haupt has been studying product design in the Bachelor's program at the University of the Arts in Berlin since 2019. She is also involved in the student council, Climate class and is on the elected board of VDIDlab.
In spring 2022, she spent a semester studying in Tokyo at Tama Art University. There she took classes in experimental design, designed a furniture series, and attended workshops on design on the body. She has also lived and worked in the United States, Latin America and Southeast Asia.
Trained as a dancer, her work often incorporates performative elements or references the body and its possibilities. Gender equity and thinking with marginalized groups is part of her understanding of design.
