
Tina Deeken
Tina Deeken is a para-athlete and works as a special needs teacher at an elementary school in Hanover. As a multiple world champion and world record holder in para-ice swimming and German champion in para-triathlon (handbike, racing wheelchair), she is one of the most successful athletes in her sport. As a para open water swimmer, she also repeatedly sets herself extraordinary challenges, including a 50 km distance in the Weser or the 17.5 km long longitudinal crossing of Lake Wörthersee. She has received numerous awards for her sporting achievements, including the 2023 Disabled Sportswoman of the Year award in Lower Saxony and the 2023 Lower Saxony Sports Medal. She was also nominated as Adaptive Performance of the Year by the World Open Water Swimming Association in 2024.
