Tobias Christoph Brunner

Dr Brunner is the managing director and co-founder of Hynergy GmbH, an engineering firm established in 2015 that specialises in technologies at the interface between renewable energy and zero-emission mobility.
In 2020, he co-founded Hy2B Wasserstoff GmbH, which has been distributing green hydrogen at filling stations since 2023 and has been producing it in Lower Bavaria using an innovative process since 2024.
From 2016 to 2020, he headed the hydrogen fuel cell programme at Great Wall Motors. Until 2015, he held various management positions at the BMW Group.
He obtained his PhD from the TUM and the École Centrale Paris. As part of his PhD, he took part in the International Graduate Programme at Kyoto University from 1998 to 2000.
