Ulrich Müller

Ulrich Müller began his musical career as a rock guitarist, studied musicology, received composition lessons from Klaus K. Hübler and took part in Clarence Barlow's workshops on computer music. From 1987 he worked closely with the composer Josef Anton Riedl. He was a guest artist at the Center for Art and Media Technology/ ZKM in Karlsruhe and founded the composer and musician collective “48nord” in 1998. 48nord produced a series of sound art pieces for DLF Kultur, as well as theater and ballet music. Since 2006 he has collaborated with the choreographer Jacopo Godani, for whom he has created a large number of ballet scores for the Bavarian State Ballet in Munich, the Sydney Dance Company, The Royal Danish Ballet in Copenhagen and the Biennale Danza in Venice, among others.
