Veronika Burian

Veronika Burian is an award-winning type designer who studied industrial design in Munich and then worked as a product designer in Vienna and Milan. It was during this time that she discovered her passion for type and completed her Masters in Type Design at the University of Reading in 2003. After several years at DaltonMaag in London, she co-founded TypeTogether with José Scaglione, now one of the most important independent type foundries with eighteen employees around the world. In addition to the development of customer typefaces, the focus is on expressive text fonts for digital and analogue media. TypeTogether also promotes young talent with a typeface publishing programme, the ‘Gerard Unger Scholarship’.
