Silke SCHMIDT leads the XR HUB Bavaria in Munich at Medien.Bayern GmbH, fostering Bavaria’s XR ecosystem by connecting stakeholders, catalyzing new projects, and boosting their national and international visibility, with a recent focus on virtual realms and XR collaboration. Previously, she oversaw “Audiovisual Media – Film, Games and XR” at the Bavarian State Ministry for Digital Affairs and worked in the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs’ Foreign Trade Department, strengthening economic ties between Bavarian and North American companies across media, digital, creative, energy, medicine, mobility, and aerospace sectors.
