Mike Richter

Prof Mike Richter is a designer, entrepreneur and President of the German Design Council. As Dean of the Department of Design at the Mathildenhöhe, Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences, he combines academic teaching with practical innovation. After studying industrial design in Schwäbisch Gmünd, London and Copenhagen, he completed a Master's degree in Innovation Planning at the Institute of Design (New Bauhaus), Chicago.
Richter is co-founder of the icon group, an international innovation catalyst, as well as the companies banbutsu (AI-supported experience platform) and Veritas Entertainment (e-sports investor). In his projects, he combines design, business and digital transformation to develop forward-looking business models.
