Tom Bieling

Prof Dr Tom Bieling is Professor of Design Theory and Chairman of the Doctoral Committee at the HfG Hochschule für Gestaltung Offenbach. Previously, he was deputy professor for design theory and research (HAW Hamburg), visiting professor at the University of Trento and the GUC Cairo, and various teaching assignments. Editor of the DESIGNABILITIES Design Research Journal | designforschung.org, co-editor of the BIRD series (Birkhäuser) of the Board of International Research in Design and co-editor of the book series Design Meanings (Mimesis). Co-founder of the Design Research Network and co-host of the NERD New Experimental Research in Design conference series. His award-winning work has been exhibited worldwide.
