Armin Nassehi
Armin Nassehi, born in Tübingen in 1960, grew up in Munich, Landshut, Tehran and Gelsenkirchen, has been a professor of sociology at Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich since 1998.
His main areas of work are sociological theory, cultural sociology, political sociology, sociology of knowledge. He has published numerous publications within these areas of research, including more than 20 books. Since 2012, he has been editor of the cultural magazine “Kursbuch”. Recent book publications: Muster. Theory of the digital society (2019, engl. 2023); discomfort. Theory of overwhelmed society (2021); basic social concepts. A glossary of public speaking (2023); critique of the grand gesture. Think differently about transformation (2024).
