Sebastian Thies

Sebastian Thies is a sixth-generation shoe designer and producer. But he doesn't just design any shoes. He is interested in testing out new aesthetics and materials in the high-end sneaker and shoe sector.
To this end, the Munich native founded the nat-2™ label in 2007. He threw himself into material research and developed the mushroom shoe. Followed by sneakers made from coffee grounds, cork, milk fibers or stone. There are no limits to his creativity. As CEO of thies 1856 ®, Sebastian consistently implements the disruptive innovation commercially. The designs have already won many international design awards and can be seen in museums and exhibitions all over the world.
