Lennart Gäbel

TASCHEN Verlag named Lennart Gäbel one of the “100 Best Illustrators in the World”. His work has graced the covers of SPIEGEL and Stern. Initially rejected for a design degree, he studied economics and worked for years in advertising and marketing. It was not until he was 30 that he began to study illustration in Groningen, Rotterdam and New York.
His illustrations impress with their conceptual depth - quick and easy to understand, they hit the nail on the head. His work “They Let You Do It”, in which Donald Trump grabs the crotch of the Statue of Liberty, is celebrated as an icon of the anti-Trump movement. His SPIEGEL title “Endzeit” was voted “Germany's Cover of the Year”.
