Ludwig Ruder

Dr Ludwig Ruder, born in 1991, has been Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Semper idem Underberg AG since February 2024. In addition, the German-born executive works in the strategy and corporate development division of a global Swiss pharmaceutical group. After studying molecular biology at the University of Basel, he obtained his PhD in neurobiology at the University of Basel’s Biozentrum. Following his academic career, Dr Ruder moved into the private sector. From 2020 to 2025, he worked for the Boston Consulting Group in Zurich and New York. In spring 2025, he moved to a multinational pharmaceutical company in Basel. He joined the family business in February 2024 and took on the role of Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board.
