Benedict Esche studied architecture at the University of Applied Sciences Munich, the Technical University of Munich and the Accademia di Architettura in Mendrisio in Switzerland.

He is awarded with the Egon Eiermann Prize, the Wittman Scholarship and the Senator Bernhard Borst Prize. He is Architect-in-Residence Scholarship holder of the Goethe-Institut in Rotterdam 2017 and scholarship holder of the German Academy of Rome - Villa Massimo 2017/2018.

In 2016-2017 he taught at the Technical University of Munich at the Chair of Design and Design and since 2018 at the Accademia di Architettura in Mendrisio.

In 2015, Esche co-founded the architecture firm Kollektiv A. Since its founding, the focus lays on complex housing construction. In addition, cultural buildings are part of the portfolio.
