Martin Wöhrl (born 1974 in Munich) studied sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich as a master student of Prof. James Reineking, at the Edinburgh College of Art and the Glasgow School of Art. He was awarded the Lothar Fischer Prize for Sculpture, received a scholarship for the Villa Concordia in Bamberg as well as an USA-scholarship of the Bavarian State, and a scholarship of the DAAD. He is the recipient of the Bayerischer Staatsförderpreis. His works are in the collection of the Lenbachhaus in Munich, the Kunstmuseum Bonn and the Neues Museum in Nuremberg. Recently, the Museum Villa Stuck in Munich shows the permanent installation "studiolo".
