Michael Schlenke has worked throughout Europe in the furniture and interior design industry. The design principles of Universal Design play a major role for him especially in the design of lifecycle-oriented products and services. Schlenke belongs to the baby boomer generation and attaches particular importance to the effects of demographic change on daily life. He is a member of the Universal Design Forum e.V. and international think tanks. As a journalist, he publishes specialist articles regarding the future of living for aged people and gives lectures in Germany and abroad.
