Sorin Simplaceanu

Sorin has established himself as an expert in the areas of digitalization and process optimization, with a particular focus on operationalizing disruptive technologies and managing innovation programs in large organizations. During his time as head of the Skydeck Innovation Lab at Deutsche Bahn and in his current role as a promoter of open innovation, he has been instrumental in expanding the product offering and innovation culture of DB Systel's innovation department, including the development of an innovation ecosystem that fosters collaboration between technology providers and business units. In addition to his work at Deutsche Bahn, Sorin is actively involved in the startup scene, where he drives digitalization initiatives with a focus on sustainable development.
