The first solo exhibition on Therese Hilbert, beginning with some of her almost unknown early works up to her most recent pieces created in 2020 at Die Neue Sammlung at Kunstareal.
In close collaboration with Therese Hilbert (born 1948 in Zurich), Die Neue Sammlung at Kunstareal München is delighted to present the first solo exhibition of the artist. Hilbert has selected around 250 pieces for the exhibition, beginning with almost unknown early works up to her most recent pieces created in 2020.
Her material of choice is silver rather than gold. She develops her form language from the classical canon of basic shapes as opposed to drawing from the amorphous games of nature. Therese Hilbert discovered the fascinating volcano topic in the early 1990s and has since addressed it in ever new and unique works.
The fast pace of our time comes to a halt when we look at her work, as we begin to enter into a communication that is careful, tentative, that involves several senses and allows us to discover a different level, one of emotional depth.
